Coshocton Behavioral Health Choices provides compassionate, person-centered, wrap-around behavioral health services to individuals and our community.


Substance Use Disorders

For substance use disorders, gambling and other  disorders, we offer individual therapy, outpatient groups, intensive outpatient groups and Medication Assisted Treatment.  In addition we offer peer support services by Certified Peer Support Specialists. 

 

The American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM)  defines Addiction as:

"Addiction is a treatable, chronic medical disease involving complex interactions among brain circuits, genetics, the environment, and an individual’s life experiences. People with addiction use substances or engage in behaviors that become compulsive and often continue despite harmful consequences.

Prevention efforts and treatment approaches for addiction are generally as successful as those for other chronic diseases."

Depression/Anxiety

PTSD, Social Anxiety, General Anxiety, Mild to Severe Depression and other mental health disorders. Depression (major depressive disorder or clinical depression) is a common but serious mood disorder. It causes severe symptoms that affect how you feel, think, and handle daily activities, such as sleeping, eating, or working. To be diagnosed with depression, the symptoms must be present for at least two weeks.

Depression and anxiety are treatable disorders with counseling and sometimes medication.

Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP)

CPP May Help When:

  • Children have been through scary or painful events such as loss of a loved one, separation, serious medical procedures, abuse or violence at home or in the community
  • Children show difficult behaviors
  • Children have a change in placement or caregivers
  • Family members have physical health or mental health difficulties
  • Caregivers would like help with parenting and improving parent-child relationships


Group Therapy

We offer 2 or 3 day per week outpatient group therapy as well as daily Intensive Outpatient group therapy for substance use and gambling disorders.

Individual Counseling

We offer one-to-one, patient centered counseling with experienced, licensed clinicians.

Integrated Health Services

Basic Medical Care Services including:

Medication assisted treatment (MAT)

Complete physical exams

Problem focused visits

Diagnostic ordering services (including STD screening)

Contraceptive counseling and surveillance

Mental health medication treatment including Gene Sight ® Testing
